Data Deletion

This page explains what happens to your data when you remove LimeGhost from your Threads account, and how to have the rest of it deleted. The full picture of what we store is in our Privacy Policy.

When you remove LimeGhost from Threads

If you open Threads → Settings → Account → Website permissions and remove LimeGhost, or ask Meta to delete the data LimeGhost holds about you, Meta forwards that request to us. We then delete, straight away and without any further step from you:

  • the access token Threads gave us for your account, and
  • every LimeGhost connection to that Threads account, in every project it was connected to.

From that moment LimeGhost can no longer publish to, read from or take down anything on your Threads account. Posts that were scheduled for it stay in your calendar, unpublished.

What stays, and how to remove it

The posts LimeGhost imported from Threads, and the ones you wrote in LimeGhost, are content in your own LimeGhost calendar — removing a Threads permission does not delete them, because deleting someone's calendar on a request from another company would be surprising and destructive. You can delete any of them yourself at any time. To have them deleted for you, or to delete your whole LimeGhost account, email support@limeghost.com and we'll do it within 30 days.

Posts already published on Threads are Meta's to keep or remove: delete them in the Threads app.

Your confirmation code

When Meta sends you here after a deletion request, the address bar ends in ?code= followed by a code. That is your confirmation code: it shows the request reached us, and if you write to support@limeghost.com about it, quote the code and we can tell you exactly what was deleted and when.
